The Craftsman brand of tools began its journey towards becoming the top selling brand in America in 1927 when Sears Roebuck & Co. began selling tools under the Craftsman brand. Arthur Barrows signed on to head the company’s hardware division and the rest as they say was history. Today Sears is the fifth largest broad-line retailer across America and Craftsman has become a household name. Craftsman tools are charter zed by very high standards of quality, durability, ruggedness and professionalism. They are available in a very wide array of products to suit all purposes from woodworking to plumbing, electrical, general house maintenance and for the professional tools user. As Craftsman tools have been around for over 80 years, it has become a tradition to hand them down form one generation to the next. Every Craftsman Sears product comes with a valuable manual. As most of us believe manuals to be user guides we tend to be rather careless with them once we get the gadget up and running. This is definitely a mistake in the case of Sears Craftsman tools manuals – they are not just operating instructions but will also serve as a future guide to assist you on dealing with emergency situations you may face regarding the product, how to perform maintenance on the product and also how to repair the product. These manuals are an invaluable source of reference and help for the respective product. The question we need to answer would be what to do in case a manual is misplaced and just plain gone? No problem! Sears Craftsman has foreseen this occurring time and again and has made provision for such a situation. All you need to do is go online to Sears Craftsman and find your way to the manuals section to download, print or save any manual you want. Their online help is wonderful and they are very customer service oriented. You can even call the parts division and they will help you find a copy of the manual you need. Just keep the model number and year of manufacture information at hand. You also have another option, there are many Craftsman clubs formed and they take pride in storing old manuals to help members access the information they need. There are websites that store miscellaneous manuals online for you to access – all it takes is a bit of research effort and you can find the manual you are looking for. There are also many blogs and forums because Sears Craftsman tools are extremely popular and members love to discuss their tools and products, just log on and you can find what you are looking for or else get direction to the right site. I personally have come across several sites during my research which store older craftsman tools manuals. Help is definitely out there we just need to put in a little effort to find it and when you love your tools as much as you do you will not mind the time and effort spent in tracking down the manuals.
